Watercolour on Arches full sheet paper 91cm × 71cm

The sun had just slipped behind the gum lined horizon, casting long amber shadows across the Murry River. A hush settled over the land, the kind that only comes at the end of a hot day. Then, a sudden burst of sound, the unmistakable shriek of a galah, wings outstretched, landing on its chosen perch above the water. It was a call not of alarm, but of arrival. The river shimmered below, still and listening. In that moment, bird and branch, sky and stream, all seemed to agree - the day was done.

Framed by Fitzroy’s Omnus Framing in pale oak wood and non reflective art glass.
